In Madurantakam, TVK polled 39.96% against 31.32% in April; AIADMK and TVK together had 66.27% then; In Dharapuram, TVK polled 37.02% against 23.23% in April; AIADMK and TVK together had 63.79% then.
Both seats were won by AIADMK in April and fell vacant when those MLAs resigned and joined TVK, so the results are the first measure of how much of that vote moved with them.
